The Sabrient Baker's Dozen Portfolio for July 2018 Launched

This is the 7th in the Baker's DozenSeries for 2018

Santa Barbara, CA – July 20, 2018:  Sabrient Systems announces the launch of July 2018 Bakers' Dozen Portfolio.

The Baker's Dozen Portfolio -- with a strategy developed by Sabrient and licensed to First Trust Portfolios -- invests in 13 top-ranked stocks that represent a cross-section of industries that Sabrient believes are positioned to perform well in the coming year. They are GARP stocks – stocks that Sabrient believes represent growth at a reasonable price. The stocks are meant to be held for the full 13-month term of the trust.

The strategy includes the Sabrient/Gradient Earnings Quality Rank (EQR Rank), a proprietary forensic accounting factor that ranks the conservatism of a company’s accounting. Companies with aggressive accounting practices are penalized in the rankings, while companies with overly aggressive accounting practices are eliminated in an effort to avoid companies that could be overstating or even “creating” the reported growth.

The Baker's Dozen Series was initially licensed to First Trust Portfolios in 2013, with a portfolio published annually thereafter in January.  in 2015, a mid-year Baker's Dozen portfolio was added in August, and in April 2017, the Baker's Dozen portfolios began publishing monthly. (Prior to 2013, Sabrient published an annual Baker's Dozen Model Portfolio, beginning in 2009.) There are currently 13 open portfolios in the Baker's Dozen UIT series and 10 closed portfolios.

The July 2018 Sabrient Baker's Dozen UIT (Ticker: FCKLEX), launched on July 20, 2018, will terminate on August 20, 2019. To follow the performance of this portfolio or to obtain an FAQ or prospectus, go to the First Trust Portfolios website and enter the portfolio ticker.
