New Sabrient Forward Looking Value UIT Launched

6th in the Forward Looking Value Series

Santa Barbara, CA – June 27, 2018: The sixth portfolio in the Sabrient Forward Looking Value UIT Series (FJVLQX) was launched on June 27, 2018. This 35-stock portfolio – with a strategy developed by Sabrient and licensed to First Trust Portfolios -- seeks companies that are positioned to perform well in the near future by "looking forward" at anticipated earnings over the next few years. The stocks have been selected as top performers within their sector or industry in both price performance and value.

The stocks in this portfolio are selected from a universe of stocks restricted, first, by certain market cap and liquidity conditions; that universe is further reduced by stocks with overly aggressive accounting, as determined by Sabrient Earnings Quality Rank (EQR). Sabrient uses proprietary factors to rank the remaining stocks by their GARP scores – Growth at a Reasonable Price – and to determine the analysts’ confidence in their forward estimates.  Next, the exponential growth rate and volatility of each stock is calculated, and each stock is ranked on this factor within its sector. The final portfolio of 25 to 35 stocks is selected in this remaining universe, within certain sector and industry restrictions.

The Forward Looking Value Series was originally launched in June 2013, with an annual portfolio each year thereafter. Currently, there are two open Forward Looking Value portfolios and four closed ones.

The current portfolio, launched on June 27, 2018, will terminate on October 3, 2019. For a prospectus, fact sheet, and performance tracking, please visit the First Trust website at http://www.ftportfolios.com and enter the ticker FJVLQX.
