Silver price (XAG/USD) revisits the weekly low around $49.50 during the European trading session on Friday.

The United Kingdom Retail Sales fell 1.1% month-over-month in October after advancing 0.7% in September (revised from 0.5%), according to the latest data published by the Office for National Statistics on Friday.

Considering its fortunes are closely tied to digital assets, Coinbase stock has plunged over 25% this month with the price of Bitcoin droppping further below $100,000. 

Gold prices surged in early October, setting several records before correcting later in the month. Even with the selloff, the Shanghai benchmark price was up 5.5 percent on the month.

Some non-technology companies have seen wildly strong performances, with their predictable natures able to provide nice shields against volatility.
